It almost looks like it might be due to larger font DPI (120 instead of 96 or a custom one used) and it looks like it's missing the default font Segoe UI.

Just reset DPI back to the default 96 and it'll be fine.

Can't seem to look at Capman's full-size screenshot by clicking on it. The download from xs.to is so slow that the network connection times out.

Also, it's not surprising that the default font is not showing, because it's unavailable on Windows XP.

You need Office 2007 or Vista in order to have the Segoe UI font.

It could be a while before I get to touch this computer again, but I will bear in mind what you said in case I come across it again
