Cant think of anything I would rather do more than slow down my brand new install of windows with a bloated AV program. ;)

Have you tried the new MS av yet tarun?
For a full security program its pretty nice. I've had it installed since it came out of beta and haven't had a single problem yet.

I haven't tried it as of yet. I've been considering formatting my server PC and putting XP back on it.

No thanks.

Kaspersky is the idiot who wants to kill anonymity on the internet.

I know that Kaspersky gives AutoPatcher/APUP fits all the time. I can only imagine the work that goes into developing an effective
AV(security) program but they are getting bloated - JMO :P

I heard that recently released Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) is not bloated.

Yes, I installed Windows Security Essentials and am very pleased with it.

It's easy to install, to setup and to use. I've decided to ditch my other AV (Avast) and replace it with WSE.

Sure, I'll take one of each - to go :P
