  1. Honestly, of those I would have preferred to add HWInfo. Unfortunately it does the same thing that CPU/GPU-Z do on their official sites... Their downloads have the file version number in the filenames. The problem with this is that any time they release a new hotfix/bugfix or quick update, the version number changes. So even something as simple as CPUZ_2.23.zip going to CPUZ_2.23a.zip. These sort of programs have to be monitored very close for when they update to make the necessary changes on this end. As far as TeamViewer, in the past it was discussed about adding TeamViewer, AnyDesk, and other remote desktop apps. The problem here stemmed from how many scammers try to use those remote desktop softwares. If someone was to need help via RDP, it's easier for the tech to simply send it to them or walk them through it. I would love to do more with AMT. I'm hoping to figure out a way to allow those downloads as discussed above as it will open up more possibilities.
  2. Today the extended support for Windows 8.1 has come to an end. As such and due to very low usage, this forum is being moved to the Archives.
  3. The forums have been updated to the latest version. We are currently on the absolute latest forum version as of this post.
  4. You can use an image host like imgur. It's a bit hard to tell, but near the top it looks like possible board damage?
  5. I would honestly need to see some closer, larger pics or a video if at all possible. Unfortunately the image above is the size of a thumbnail. If it was fine before posting I can check the forum settings.
  6. How did everything go @FastEddie57?
  7. Thanks for the update, keep me posted!
  8. @FastEddie57 Doing a followup to see if you were able to get this addressed and resolved. 🙂
  9. @FastEddie57 Unless you have the necessary tools and comfort level of opening up the MacBook - and it's warranty has ended - you may want to take it in for service. A call to Apple will help you find an authorized repair depot nearest to you. Other options would be a mom and pop tech shop, or anywhere that does PC repair. I'm not sure how Best Buy handles it in the US, but I know privacy of your data is a concern at Best Buy US. I suspect that something else in the laptop has been damaged or knocked loose. I've seen MacBooks take a few heavy hits and still work. Likely something internal is at fault.
  10. @FastEddie57 I assume you've tried to turn it on with the power unplugged or plugged in? Guessing no sounds of fans or anything from it either?
  11. This post will hold all of the updates for the Lunarsoft Wiki going forward, aside from major changes. The Lunarsoft Wiki has been updated to 1.37.
  12. The Lunarsoft frontpage software has been updated to 5.9.
  13. I've had a Raspberry Pi for several years. I've had a few different programs on it. Eventually I put Home Assistant on before finding out that the Pi 3b+ was a bit too underpowered for what all I was doing with it. On the Pi I did try Pihole. What I found interesting is that it would not block all ads on mobile devices. Certain games would still display ads. For example, I'm a Godzilla fan and enjoy playing Godzilla Battle Line. In it, you can watch ads to cycle new units to purchase or get maps for free units. With that said, Piholedid not stop these ads from showing. That said, I still use Home Assistant but on one of my old computers. In HA, I use AdGuard Home. AdGuard Home stops all of the aforementioned ads from ever showing. https://kb.adguard.com/en/home/overview There's an intuitive dashboard: It allows you to block a lot of things. There are several filters you can enable to help. Logs to show what was blocked and even tell you what filter list: Plus, you can block services like Facebook, Tiktok, and more. It's really useful and does an extremely good job. Has anyone else tried it, or even tried Pihole? Love to hear about everyone's experiences.
