  1. Throttled. The link explains what the change did. I can actually tell the pages are loading faster. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly. The pages aren't stalling anymore. Sweet!
  2. Bummer. I've been thinking about getting a wireless mouse soon. I'm tired of fighting with the darn cord all the time. @Sniper. It looks nice. Makes me want one even more.
  3. :P That's hilarious! I love it. I would have been perfectly happy on Floor 4.
  4. Yep! Definitely noticed a difference.
  5. Well, I can't use the other program listed because it doesn't backup to CD's, and that's what I need. Could backing up in safe mode possible solve some the problems?
  6. Yep, I did get errors every time I tried it and gave up in the end but I will try again one day. It is always a good idea to create a backup, if you do try any of the others be sure to let us know. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I will try another one today, and I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks alot MP, and CaPMan!
  7. Do you think that I should use the other backup software listed in the Freeware thread, or not worry about it?

Yesterday I used WinBackup, which was suggested in the Freeware thread. For starters I was soooo easy. Many thanks to whomever posted that one. XP's backup utility is impossible. After the backup process finished a screen was displayed which stated "Backup 80 Warnings". I was just wondering if I should be concerned or not? Did the warnings not backup? Here are a few examples. 2006-02-24 15:05:39 Backup Operation Completed, Elapsed Time: 01:27:33, Bytes Written to Target: 1.56 GB 2006-02-24 15:05:28 Verify Failed: wmiprov.log, C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\Logs\wmiprov.log 2006-02-24 1
  9. You mean the one where I smeared with vasaline and I slid you off the roof? Yeah, that happened. You are just suffering amnesia and that's why you look like this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lmoa
  10. I can't believe I found this one. It was made just for you, MP. Just grab the hand with your mouse and slide it across the screen as fast as you can. I got 118 MPH. Spank the Monkey! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 162 MPH
  11. Happy Birthday! Have an AWESOME day! Best wishes, K
  12. So far I do agree with you because the only program (out of my list) that ever detects anything is Adaware, and it's usually cookies. (yes CCleaner is marked as Adware, but the slim version does not meet that criteria) EDIT to my original post: Include eTrust, and the Defender upgrade. I must have been drunk when I wrote that. j/k LOL
  13. I still won't upgrade, due to several security compromising additions to Vista. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But those security compromising additions will be fixed (eventually), right? It seems to me that all MS products have several security compromising features. They fix it, and another one appears.

  15. I didn't do a very good job. It kept making me start over.
  16. It is gross, and funny. I love the laugh. EDIT: This monkey thing has become quite the hit around here. :D
  17. MP!! That is not very nice. I think that you owe Trish an apology. Show some luv... My best score was 2. Darn Fan.
  18. Windows Defender doesn't have a firewall, but you should still download it. eTrust does have a firewall, and like I said yesterday...it's easy to use so you would like it. The other suggestions in this thread are definitely good choices as well. I'm just settled with my own personal choices. You can try different things to determine what you like best. This is what I use for total protection. Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware Personal SE, CWShredder, DSOstop2, Windows Defender, SpywareBlaster, eTrust Antivirus, Ewido, and a hardware firewall. Layered security is important the
  19. Hi Haze, I'm glad that MSN was an easy fix after all. It sounds like you're having a lot of problems with BitDefender (is it worth the hassle?). Have you tried any of the other suggestions yet? Note. When we were chatting earlier, and I told you to install Defender...I thought that we were talking about Windows Defender (oops). Scratch the BitDefender (I hope that you haven't reinstalled yet). Good Times! K
  20. That's horrible. How the hell are they getting a way with that, it's illegal? There are laws! Sorry, but that's really upsetting. I want to know who's funding that because monkey are really expensive for research.
  21. Animal testing. You know either testing an animal, or giving an animal a test. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh...(I'm a dork). I didn't get it because animal testing does include giving animals tests. Although not math tests!
  22. The animals when you test them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't get it. AND I do animal testing. With much love, and ethics I add. I don't hurt them. I love animals.
