  1. sorry.... saw no posted resolution and didn't look at the date.
  2. I'm new to the forums here at lunarsoft.net. I've worked in everything from Desktop and Server repair to Network Support in my short time in the IT industry. I currently work in the Information Security Industry for a large international company. Hope I can help with any technical problems your having.
  3. What's the BSOD error that you are getting?
  4. If you are truly using DSL make sure that you have installed any ISP supplyed phone filters. You can also do simple troubleshooting like changing the cable going from the wall outlet to them modem. Try and see if there is a pattern developing of when you are loosing conectivity and then report back. I'll do what I can to help, but 9 times outta 10 the modem is shot.
  5. I'm not an MCP. However, I am CompTIA Network+ and A+ certified. I am currently working on my Security+ certification. Certs. are nice to have, but not nearly as important as knowledge, experience, and plain old common sense (which a majority of people lack!).
  6. What's great about avast is unlike McAfee or Symantec, it's not a resource hog. Having the real-time scan enabled shouldn't consume that much memory.
