  1. Its the final build of IE9 and the pre-release v6.0.1044 of avast!
  2. I like the sidebar gadget! I like IE9 64bit as well. XP users are missing out.
  3. The forum is working well in IE9 64bit.
  4. Happily retired.

  5. I did notice a bit of a slowdown on IE8 on my my new 4GB Vista Home Premium system but after I Goggled about IE8 issues I find it works fine after I applied the fixes I found but it does use more memory though and each tab has its own address space so that whatever happens in one tab does not affect the other from what I read. I have given up on Spybot S&D as it has not kept up with the times but it still is OK for some people so I prefer Malwarebytes Anti-Malware in conjunction with my avast! anti virus application and WinPatrol PLUS.
  6. I Like Monty Python's Mr. Gumby and my brain hurts occasionally but my back hurts when its going to rain and I need headcover due to being an Aquarius. Which reminds me of my favorite slogan that is an adaption of a phrase from Apocalypse Now: I love the smell of burning malware in the morning. Its the smell of Victory.
  7. I got here because I wanted to use Dial-a-fix on my new Vista Home Premium system but I see it does not support Vista nor IE8 :)
  8. google.ca because its quick then peruse my Favorites.

  10. IE8 is not beta anymore and I use it on all 3 of my systems :)
  11. I have noticed that the forums that I visit now have a no policy that reduces new member's ability to use PM, post live links and to modify their profile contents until they have about 20 posts. One bad apple spoils the barrel applies here.

I now use IE8 with Web of Trust (WoT) and dumped IE7Pro due to lack of IE8 support.
  13. I used SUPERAntiSpyware a while back but I did not like it and I can't remember why I didn't like it. As long as you don't include its poorly maintained HOSTS file. I prefer WinPatrol to Spybot S&D's TeaTimer. ( Woof ) In fact I like WinPatrol so much I purchased the PLUS update and even have its Flash Drive: http://winpatrol.stores.yahoo.net/winpatro...-wristband.html With a 33MB download makes it only a Norton ( Symantec ) lover would want. I like MBAM: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php Update its definitions then run a Quick scan.

    I use IE7 with IE7Pro.
  15. From what I understand laserjet resides in the lightning capital of the US which is Florida. I have been in Florida when a storm rolled over and left me as drenched as if I had just come out of a swimming pool because I could not find suitable cover away from the trees on the golf course and the Club house was far away.
  16. My experience with Ubunto. I have an old 500MHZ PIII, 256MB RAM 2 x 80GB SCSI hard drives, Soundblaster Live! and a CD reader running WinME quite happily and real fast. Anyhow I downloaded and burned the latest non-beta Ubunto image to a CD-RW and loaded it up and it ran fine from the CD but real slow. So I decided to install it which took over an hour then it asked me to reboot which I did only to be greeted with the dreaded: Non system disk Replace and strike any key when ready I had to use FDISK to remove the partition then added it back after a reboot then installed WinME and the updates from Microsoft but now I can't get the Soundblaster Live! adapter to work and I can not find a driver anywhere. I got fed up because now whenever I try to change the NVIDIA video adapter to higher than 640x400 the system powers down. I took it to the local PC shop I deal with and asked if they can fix it and if they can to install XP Home on it.
  17. I guess I am used to the icons being a really bright color when there are un-read topics. I look forward to the board software being updated.
  18. On other forums the icon on the left is highlighted if I have not read a new post in in that forum. Why does this forum not do that? I have to check when I last logged on then look for posts after that date.
  19. :hmm: my name is Ken and I live in Canada EH! I help at CCleaner, hpHosts, IE7Pro and Folding@Home forums and I love Scotty ( that's me wearing the WinPatrol golf shirt in my photo )
