Problem with Dial-a Fix Tools

When I try to use the Dial-A-Fix tools to Repair/Re-install IE, the program runs forever. How long should I allow it to run before ending it? Is an hour normal? I am trying to repair IE6 and my OS is XP-SP2.

Personally, I'd upgrade to IE7 and not IE8.

If you have your heart set on IE6, send me a private message with your address and I'll send you a copy of the installer since MS has removed it from distro.

Personally, I'd upgrade to IE7 and not IE8.

IE7 is slightly better than IE6, but its still not standards-compliant.

IE8 at least finally claims to be standards-compliant.

So I would recommend IE8 over IE7.
