Most of the errors in the log are because Dial-a-fix has not been updated to be compatible with Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) and can be safely ignored. However, your log does show that IE8 has not been updated for more than a year. Have you already tried the Microsoft Fix-it for this problem? (MicrosoftFixit50202) ?? bellaboo Posted August 10, 2010 Author Share Posted August 10, 2010 Thanks for your reply. Didn't think I had had IE8 for a year. Anyway, somewhere along the line it now works. Put it on yesterday and updates started coming in but internet had reverted back to original and wouldn't let me use it. Restored to Saturday and thought would loose all new files etc and put back on. Blank screen, no start button, nothing. Did a computer diagnostic and nothing showed. Turned back on and hey presto everything now works so I did something right somewhere. Will check IE and see everything up to date.
