System on 24/7

G'day folks,

this seemed the best place to start this

As per the topic title my PCs are on 24/7 (all hail cable ) but I've been wondering whether this could adversely affect my system (software) or the harddrive itself?

So, is anyone aware of any adverse effects, or please post your recommendations, all help greatly appreciated.

Sooo, the short, it's on for 24/7. I actually forgot about the 'sleep' function, it's one of those keyboard buttons that I don't use
