If you use "Windows Update", and click on the "Custom" button, then choose "Software, Optional", there is now since quite recently a new option there.

It is "Windows Desktop Search 3.01 for Windows XP (KB917013)", anyone noticed that?

Thought, I would give a heads up, so people are aware of it.

Is it something backported from Vista?

I don't think I will install it... anyone tried it?

It's only supposed to be there if you already have it installed (it's an update to the original) so I suppose Microsoft temporarily screwed up the WU catalogs.
