DAF version: v0.60.0.24; Windows 2000 pro;

I ran DAF since I could not complete Windows update.

Since I ran DAF the PC is slow to boot up and network and dial-up connections icons are missing. I am unable communicate with the PC.

The wizard you use to create a connection stops with an error “icwconn1.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows …”.

The hardware checks says the modem and network cards appear to be working fine.

Any suggestions?

"Superfail update" appears to have solved the problem; dial-up modem is working and Windows update works.

I went through the first 6 steps, but step 4 failed to run.

rundll32.exe setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %systemroot%\inf\au.inf

Try that code above, it should work.

The code worked. I must have typed it in wrong the first time.
