I'm having the same problem. Here's my log file:Notes about this log:

1) "->" denotes an external command being executed, and "-> (number)" indicates

the return code from the previous command

2) Not all external command return codes are accurate, or useful

3) Sometimes commands return 0 (no error) even when they fail or crash

4) If an error occurs while registering an object, please send an email to:

dial-a-fix@DjLizard.net and include a copy of this log

Running the Dial-a-fix version 0.60.0.24 and this is the second time the program has reached the stoppimg cryptsvc and has hung up on that function. I let the first one run overnight and after 9 hours it was still stuck on cryptsvc. Any suggestions?

I have found a workaround for that problem that I experienced relatively recently.

Even manually, cryptsvc. service can not be stopped. So exiting ZoneAlarm also stops vsmon.exe, and then the service can be stopped. Running dial-a-fix when it is stopped, works and will not hung up.

After, exiting dial-a-fix, you can re-run ZoneAlarm and together with vsmon.exe , cryptsvc service will start.

I don't know why this problem has started recently.

XP Pro sp3, ZoneAlarm Free 7.0.483.000, dial-a-fix 0.60.0.24 ,McAfee security

I hope this helps to find a permanent solution.
