pbates
I need to get some understanding of what Dial-a-fix does to permissions for .Net 2.0. I have a customer who ran DAF on several computers without first testing it with our web-based application which uses .Net controls. Afterwards, they can't even get the web pages to load completely due to multiple security warnings. Even after clicking Run, nothing happens and the pages still will not load. We have attempted to rerun our client installation package which includes a short routine to confirm some .Net settings for accessing sites in the Trusted Sites list, but it appears that DAF changed something elsewhere. Perhaps we should try uninstalling .Net Framework 2.0 completely and start over?
Eldmannen
Try installing .NET Framework 3.5, or do a 'system restore' so you rollback some days.
Katayamma
You can download the DotNet stand alone installer for 2.0 and use the command line switches to force a re-install. If you google a bit you'll find documents on it. Sorry, don't have my notes ATM.
