It wasn't quite a week. I just didn't get to post about it right away as I've been busy with things both here on the site and a LOT of things at home (we have a family member who is very ill).

According to the official site, Joomla 2.5.3 came out March 15, 2012, and 2.5.4 came out April 2, 2012.

I apologize, I'm trying my best to stay on top of things here too. :)

No need to apologise, I wasn't being critical, just surprised.

Somehow I've never realised you've been running Joomla!. A week out in updating is nothing, especially as I know a site (which, for obvious reasons, shall remain nameless) where they took nearly two years to apply any Joomla! updates.
