greenknight Posted September 29, 2005 Share Posted September 29, 2005 Security researcher Amit Klein has released a research document detailing a newly-discovered Internet Explorer security flaw. Potentially, an attacker could use a JavaScript component, XmlHttpRequest, to spoof a legitimate web site, access the browser cache, or tap into traffic between the target computer and another web site. Secunia,in an advisory,rated this vulnerability "moderately critical". ZDNet reports that Microsoft is unhappy about this vulnerability being publicized, and urges researches to report such findings privately, so fixes can be provided.
