Running XP Services

Featured Replies

Does anybody know of a good website for describing which Windows Services should be running automatically, or started manually, or even disabled.

I tweaked mine years ago, with the help of a magazine, but have since thrown the magazine away.

I have been trying to network 2 computers together, without much success, and am thinking that perhaps I disabled a service that now needs to be started again.

I'm probably clutching at straws, but I am running out of ideas.

I came across a blog by Mark Russinovich, stating that Windows will operate with the minimum of services running, (although this didn't help me). See the blog here.
