Explanation about "server is too busy" error earlier today

Hey everyone,

From 3:00 - 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time our forums were unreachable due to server load. You may have encountered the following error message when trying to view the forums:

Sorry, the server is too busy to handle your request, please try again in a moment.

The reason is that the Anti-Malware Toolkit was today's Featured Windows Download on Lifehacker! It also appeared on DownloadSquad and gHacks.

During that time, there were over 500 guests on our frontpage alone reading the Anti-Malware Toolkit 1.03.125 article. Our server load returned to normal around 4PM EST.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Hmmm, wouldn't class this as a BAD thing, goes to show how quick people accept good 'programs' and how quickly they want to get them.

Time to shell out some more $$$ and get yourself more bandwidth...... good luck with that. :clap:
