Eldmannen Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 This is a nice piece of software. I use it to compare configuration files to spot differences. Quote
RTZ Posted December 21, 2008 Author Posted December 21, 2008 Yeah , I knew some of you Tech Wizards may have tried this one out. Quote
Eldmannen Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Yeah, example you install an application and it comes with a default configuration file. Then you change settings and have your own configuration files. Then comes a new version, and now you want to keep your configuration, but but the new version might have a changed default configuration. So might want to compare. Also, you write a text document or program some code, then someone other send you a patch or a modification. You want to merge it, so its nice to easily spot the differences. Many times I have used it check between two php.ini files. Quote
