ok, i just saved a cd to the library and a play list for the first time but it took 53mb of space. is this normal? or is there some other way to save music

thanks for the reply, i thought it seemed excesive since i never saved music before. i didnt know if i had improper settings or not. i'm just used to burning cd's only.
