An error occured when trying to fix Windows Update

Featured Replies

Well, Windows Updater stopped working for me for some reason. It kept on saying that it couldn't turn on and that I should try to turn it on manually. I tried, but it didn't work. Then I found this handy tool and hoped that it would help fix my problems. Everything was going fine until I got this error:

Dial-a-fix kept running, and when it finished, I tried turning on Windows Updater, but it still wouldn't work. About a minute later, AVG detacted three new viruses on my computer and deleted them. All of them were Trojan Horse SHeur2.hsf viruses and all of them were found in my C:\FOUND.005 folder, which I haven't even heard of until just now.

Please help.

EDIT: Actually, the first virus was a Trojan Horse Downloader.Generic8.HPC virus.

I get this error:

"Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c"

Can you please provide more information, such as where the error occurs, what you were doing or trying to do, etc.

When I try to boot up Dial-a-fix, I get that above error.

Well, this is odd. I woke up this morning and tried to run Dial-a-fix again to see if it magically started working again. And it did. I had no error messages this time, but still, Windows Automatic Updater won't turn on.
