RTZ
Celestia 1.5.1 This was developed by Chris Laurel (About), http://www.shatters.net/~claurel/resume.html File Size: 22.7MB License: Open Source Operating Systems: Windows 2000,Windows2003, 9x, WindowsXP HomePage: http://www.shatters.net/celestia/ Screenshots: http://www.shatters.net/celestia/gallery.html Wikibooks: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia Celestia provides photo-realistic, real-time, three-dimensional viewing of the solar system, the galaxy and the universe. It is an easy to use, freely-distributed, multi-platform, open source, software package which has become a valuable tool for astronomy education. Used in homes, schools, museums and planetariums around the world, it also is used as a visualization tool by space mission designers. Versions are available for computers running Windows, Macintosh (Mac OS X) and Linux operating systems. Downloads: http://www.shatters.net/celestia/download.html Although it is optimized for 3D astronomical visualization, Celestia can be used to display and explore other 3D environments, too. And, for some reason, many people seem to find exploring with Celestia to be a lot of fun. Unlike most planetarium software, Celestia doesn't confine you to the surface of the Earth. You can travel throughout the solar system, to any of over 100,000 stars, or even beyond the galaxy.
RTZ
The Celestia Motherlode is a repository for various addons like textures, models or celestial objects for Celestia. The Celestia Motherlode hosts over 10 GB of Celestia addons by various creators, which extend or change the way Celestia renders the universe. Here is an additional Add-On for Celestia 1.5.1 making this APP even more fun, http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/
Eldmannen
Ah, Celestia. It is a nice piece of software, but it has been quite a while since I last used it. Thanks for reminding me about this nice piece of software. I definitely have to play with it again some more.
