Monkey Proof Posted December 1, 2005 Author Posted December 1, 2005 ok..after taking a deep breath and counting to ten. i went back and started from scratch. now i dont have any errors from outlook but i still do not recieve emails to outlook. i also set up outlook express and it works fine sending and recieving. this is my mission in life, to make outlook work with gmail. after its all done i'll be the subject matter expert with setting up pop3 with outlook. Capman Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 MP, is your Outlook up to date? I don't know whether Outlook is included in Windows updates. If not, updating it could be a possible solution. What about trying this: Open Outlook, Click Help, Click Detect and Repair, On the window that appears Click Start, From here on just click whatever seems appropriate, pop your Office cd in if asked, and Outlook should be repaired to an original state. Sorry for sounding a bit vague about this but I only went through the procedure up to a certain point. Quote
