Hi,

I recently had a file appear on my C:\ drive called "driveretimer.txt". I don't know what it is so I'm posting it (see attachments) and my hijackthis log. The only problem that I seen with my system is that I can't open 1 of my programs (Pinnacle Studio 12) and everytime I try to configure Ad-Aware 2008 the settings dont's stay the way that I set them.I have to re-configure it everytime I open it. Is this file causing a problem on my pc? Any info you can provide me with is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Adrian

Your log looks clean. drivertimer.txt appears to be associated with a lot of torrents. You can safely delete it if you want.

As far as Ad-Aware goes, I personally ditched it because they want you to pay just to have your own settings. That's why I no longer use or recommend Ad-Aware. You can always download the Vista package from my Anti-Malware Toolkit and scan with those applications. :D

What error does Pinnacle give you, if any?

*Wipes Sweat From Face*

Thanks for clearling that up. I was hoping that the file wasn't dangerous. As for Pinnacle, after the program would get to the 90% loading mark a message would pop up saying that the program had stopped working and needed to close. A quick un-install and re-install fixed that issue. Thanks for recommending the vista package. I will check it out. I really don't like the new version of Ad-aware anyway.

Thanks for your help.
