James_A Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Seems the Release Candidate/Beta had to be updated. I think that the RC was build 6, whereas this final release is/was build 7. The major 'feature' in Firefox 3.6.4 is crash protection against plugins - if Flash or Quicktime or Silverlight crashes, then it no longer will take Firefox down with it. Plus about 220 other bug fixes... . Quote
0_0 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 crash protection against plugins... Plus about 220 other bug fixes... Really, you wouldn't think this release was all that important by looking at FileHippo. Change Log reads: * Fixed several security issues. * Fixed several stability issues. OT: This is the first time I have updated 2 pieces of software that were @ the same version @ the same time => Firefox & CrystalDiskInfo are both @ 3.6.4 :) Quote
James_A Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 That changelog is a bit of an understatement - there are seven Security fixes, four of them Critical. Also it looks like the next version will be 3.6.6 - there will not be a 3.6.5. . Quote
