July 21, 201014 yr Administrator After a bit of searching, you can repair your permissions by doing this command: To restore your operating system to the original installation default security settings, follow these steps: Click Start > Run > type cmd and press Enter or click Ok. Windows XP: In the command prompt enter: secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose Windows Vista/7: In the command prompt enter: secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose You receive a "Task is completed" message and a warning message that something could not be done. You can safely ignore this message. For more information about this message, see the %windir%\Security\Logs\Scesrv.log file.
July 21, 201014 yr Author It came back with : secedit is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
July 21, 201014 yr Author At the bottom of the link it said For online "Help about Secedit, click Start, click Run, type %windir%\help\secedit.chm, and then press ENTER." It came back that windows could not find Secedit.
