Firefox Displaying Symbol instead of English

Featured Replies

Hi All,

My Firefox have a problem. When I visit site like gothere.sg or twitter.com. Some of the text will load as symbol instead. I don't have such problem with Chrome or IE. Can anyone help?

Thanks!! :)

Have you tried a clean Firefox profile? Have you checked Options > Content > Languages?

That won't work, because it's not a language problem -- it's a known font problem. The problem is with an extra font added to the fonts folder, but it only affects Firefox, not Safari, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome.

xd3vilx Do you have Firefox 3.6? And do you have a extra Helvetica font (with a Chinese name) in your fonts folder, that looks like this?

In the picture above, it's the last font in the list.

Uninstall or delete that font and Firefox should work properly again.
