Administrator Tarun Posted February 21, 2011 Administrator Posted February 21, 2011 Welcome to Lunarsoft wrjordan. I'd recommend uninstall any/all toolbars and also posting a log from Normal mode. As your log appears to be clean, are you experiencing any symptoms?
wrjordan Posted February 21, 2011 Author Posted February 21, 2011 Unfortunately I can't get into normal mode because I keep getting a blue screen of death. This all started with my browser being hijacked repeatedly during google searches using mozilla firefox. The only toolbar I can't get uninstalled is one called "lovefreegames"
wrjordan Posted February 21, 2011 Author Posted February 21, 2011 When I get home from work today I will attempt to get in normal mode and get a hijack this report
Administrator Tarun Posted February 21, 2011 Administrator Posted February 21, 2011 Sounds good. Also, when your computer crashes please copy down the blue screen information that references the file name, 0x00 code, and message that appears at the top. We can help pinpoint the problem and fix it.

wrjordan Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 Ok so the above 2nd scan was taken as soon as I was able to get into normal mode. I had done a system restore thinking some of my drivers were out of date before the initial log you see above in safe mode. I have since removed any/all toolbars I could find. I also ran the entire toolkit in normal mode and the following log is the most current. wrjordan log 3 Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.4 Scan saved at 7:39:03 PM, on 2/21/2011 Platform: Windows 7 (WinNT 6.00.3504) MSIE: Internet Explorer v8.00 (8.00.7600.16700) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\Windows\system32\taskhost.exe C:\Windows\system32\Dwm.exe C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Dell\DellDock\DellDock.exe C:\Windows\RtHDVCpl.exe C:\Program Files\Trusteer\Rapport\bin\RapportService.exe C:\Program Files\Winamp\winampa.exe C:\Program Files\Linksys\Linksys Wireless Manager\LinksysWirelessManager.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\AvastUI.exe C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe C:\Program Files\NETGEAR\WG111v3\WG111v3.exe C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Contacts\wlcomm.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugin-container.exe C:\Users\Ryan\Desktop\Download\HijackThis.exe C:\Windows\system32\SearchFilterHost.exe R0 - wrjordan Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 Ok an update. Resolved the blue screen issue so far. I have 2 bad ram sockets on my MB leaving me with 2 good sockets. I am not 100% convinced the bsod issues and the browser hijacking are unrelated. Regardless I am still having the search engine hijacks through both firefox and IE.
Administrator Tarun Posted February 28, 2011 Administrator Posted February 28, 2011 Please run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware in Full Scan mode and post a log from MBAM and HijackThis after you finish.
