Posted March 5, 200619 yr Im looking for a safe and reliable registry cleaner as i have ccleaner its good but theres bound to be more advanced free ones out there?
March 5, 200619 yr Reliable free ones? Not that I'm aware of, the one that I use (alongside CCleaner's) is TuneUps Registry Cleaner (part of the TuneUp Utilities 2006); http://www.tune-up.com

Easy to use. My computer starts up and I am doin what I need to do in 20 seconds. I could shorten that if I took my messenger out of my start up. Definitely would be a good investment.

Not that I'm aware of, the one that I use (alongside CCleaner's) is TuneUps Registry Cleaner (part of the TuneUp Utilities 2006); http://www.tune-up.com <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That program is kickass, dude. I downloaded the trial and love it. I optimized my internet connection and now i speed along on everything I do. My pages load superfast. I am not sure the cost but I will be buying this. The user interface was very simple for someone like me. I like the rescue center too. For sure a program good for someone like me who doesn't get all the technical aspects of a computer.
March 10, 200619 yr I'm glad you all liked it. I know a lot of techs who use it, its the most reliab;le one around, and it has all sorts of decent things in it....
March 11, 200619 yr i love tuneup2006. i think it is simple to use, has lots of options, and does a good job. and it hasnt caused me a problem either (i used to have the 2004 version and it was good too).
March 11, 200619 yr yea, i havent had a problem yet either. My computer is running faster and everything is much smoother. I have had a problem recently, but i see no way how it could relate to the the registry cleaner. Had to do with updating my ipod. )corjello(
March 11, 200619 yr I wouldn't use Registry Mechanic. It may find more stuff, but it is known for deleting important registry items.
