xd3vilx
WLM has make a big big improvement since the first beta. I like the current one and for the first time i can say microsoft has done something right by moving forward instead of back.
Administrator Tarun Posted June 25, 2006 Administrator Share Posted June 25, 2006 I agree. I watched it evolve through the betas too and this one is really nice. I slap on the A-Patch to customize it to how I want (no ads, etc) and I'm pleased with it. Even though I use AIM as my primary, WLM as a backup is still really nice to have. Capman
What is the A-Patch Tarun?
Administrator Tarun Posted June 25, 2006 Administrator Share Posted June 25, 2006 http://apatch.ikhost.com/ It's like the Mess.Be Patch. It removes ads and other features, also adding things. If you've ever used ResHack on a program, it's kinda like that. Features.
Monkey Proof
A-Patch? hmm, sounds interesting. i bet it's something like AIM Ad Hack. but only for WLM well, i guess it's off to Google for a search....
Capman
Thanks Tarun, I'll give it a try.
krit86lr
Thanks guys. I didn't even notice that I needed to upgrade my Messenger. As for the A-Patch, I forgot all about that. Thanks for the reminder. Now, I don't know anything about the AIM Ad Hack. Thanks for that infor MP.
Administrator Tarun Posted June 25, 2006 Administrator Share Posted June 25, 2006 Yeah, A-Patch is a lot like AIM Ad-Hack. I still use the old 5.5.xxxx versions with AIM Ad-Hack on it. Works like a charm and I've never really had any issues with it.
krit86lr
I love hearing about new Tools. I just updated my Messenger from the 22nd release and I am sooo happy that it didn't get rid of all of my winks and such! That's the best improvement yet. LOL I get tired of having to go to BlueMountain and redownload my s*** for every update.

Administrator Tarun Posted June 26, 2006 Administrator Share Posted June 26, 2006 I actually used to use the Mess.Be Patch. But they took too long and A-Patch was faster, especially with the WLM beta.
