I have msn and a friend has now got trillian so I tried to add her to my contacts list. An msn window comes up saying I cannot as she doesn't have a .net passport. Is there a way round this as she doesn't want one?

Thing is she has had her computer set up for her by her son, and would not be able to make any changes herself I think. Would her getting the .net passport mean I would be able to connect to her no problem?

MSN would guide her through making it a .NET account. Takes her to a website, she fills in the info and then it's a .NET account.

I've been able to add people even if they're not a .NET account and everything works fine. You could also have her add you to her account and then you'd get the notification.
