Eldmannen Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 New version of Sumatra PDF is released. Sumatra is a free, open-source, light-weight PDF viewer/reader. It is just 1 megabyte. You can download just the .exe and run it portable, or the setup which creates file association and shortcuts. http://blog.kowalczyk.info/software/sumatrapdf/ Version 0.8 includes search functionality, fixes crashes, and other improvements. Ultimate Predator Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Gonna try it now. EDIT: I thought it as much, the find option doesn't work with all PDF's, Foxit up until recently had the same problem. Example: http://socserv.mcmaster.ca/econ/ugcm/3ll3/hume/enquiry.pdf Quote
Eldmannen Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 Oh, you're right. I can confirm that the search function does not work on that particular PDF file you linked to. On the local PDF files I have on my computer (generated by the 'tex2pdf' command in TeX / LaTeX) the search function works fine. I reported the bug on the forum; http://blog.kowalczyk.info/forum_sumatra/t...664&Posts=0 Hopefully it gets fixed in the next release. Quote
Ultimate Predator Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Heard anything of a new release. I would love this if it worked fully. Quote
Eldmannen Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 Nope, haven't heard anything. Found a thread on the forum with a SVN version, might work; * http://blog.kowalczyk.info/forum_sumatra/t...767&Posts=2 Hopefully a new release soon... Quote
