Eldmannen Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Big Buck Bunny is a 9 minute animated short film. It is created using Blender, a free open source software. It is an open movie, licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License. Quote
Eldmannen Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 Yeah, its like studio quality, like Pixar. Also, it has good looking fur (thanks to the fur shader in Blender), something which is often difficult to create in 3D software. Prior to this movie (Big Buck Bunny), they have made another movie called Elephants Dream which is also an "open movie" created in Blender. Also when Blender 2.5 gets released, they're planning to start on another movie... Quote
Administrator Tarun Posted June 3, 2008 Administrator Posted June 3, 2008 That was pretty good. Wonder how long it took them to do all of it. Quote

Yeah, and the license allows you to remix, remaster, change, alter, modify, edit, share, mix it and do derivative works. Just the way media, creative arts and culture should be. Quote
