JMac
Hi, I have got Virgin Broadband and recently they sent me a wireless router. Although it is a Netgear router (WGR614-6VGGUKS) but it is using there branded software? Now i have it connected to the modem using the Ethernet cable supplied then i have it connected to the computer using a LAN port. I am wanting to wireless connect things but I'm unsure how? Help Appreciated JMac
Eldmannen
Aff, I hate custom branded software.
Administrator Tarun Posted July 4, 2008 Administrator Share Posted July 4, 2008 You'll need to login to the router and configure everything first. There should be a manual for yours. Or try 192.168.0.1 admin - password (or no password) to login.
JMac
I know the i.p and username and password... I'm stuck on what to do at the config page... ATM it is WPA-PSK Preinstall.... - Don't know if that helps
Administrator Tarun Posted July 4, 2008 Administrator Share Posted July 4, 2008 That is for the wireless encryption. Definitely use a minimum of WPA.
