I recently had some virus problems which was trojan-downloaders and ever since then the genuine windows validation icon sits on the toolbar and says its unable to complete genuine windows validation. I bought windows from walmart so its not a copy. I cant figure out how to get it to work so I can validate my windows software.

Also, when I go to control panel>system

it says

VIRUS ALERT!

the virus alert thing also showed up on my time stamp in the corner, I managed to remove it from there but I dont know how to change it on the registered information. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You could try to run some antivirus and anti-spyware software.

You could also post a HJT log.

If nothing else works, you can reinstall Windows.

As Eldmannen said, you're infected. You may want to get LunarDownloader and get the Professional package (listed by default). You can follow our PC Maintenance guide (the link is also in LunarDownloader) to get your PC cleaned up. :)
