Eldmannen
ZDNet Australia took people to a computer using the KDE 4 desktop environment, said it was Windows 7 to test peoples reactions. The reception was people saying it looks great, and that it is cool. People also complained about Vista. KDE is a desktop environment used on Linux, *BSD and Solaris. But it is also being ported to Mac OS X and Windows, but for Windows and Mac it is in an experimental state. http://www.zdnet.com.au/insight/software/s...39294810,00.htm
Administrator Tarun Posted February 6, 2009 Administrator Share Posted February 6, 2009 If people said it looked great, then clearly they never used Windows.
Eldmannen
Sorry, my bad. I forgot the link. http://www.zdnet.com.au/insight/software/s...39294810,00.htm KDE 4 looks pretty sweet.
Administrator Tarun Posted February 8, 2009 Administrator Share Posted February 8, 2009 Looks more like Mac style interfaces to me. I wonder how many of them they asked were even computer users? If they were then they'd know that wasn't Windows.
Eldmannen
Well, most people use computers, so probably everyone was computer users. But they said it was Windows 7, and nobody of them have used Windows 7, so they don't know what it will look like. Windows Vista looked different from Windows XP, and Windows 7 looks different from Vista, so people don't know what to expect.
