December 22, 201014 yr It's difficult to keep up with the Notepad++ updates. There were three for last month (November) alone -- 5.8.3, 5.8.4 & 5.8.5. Though, that doesn't stop Don Ho's Notepad++ from being one of the best editors available. .
December 22, 201014 yr Administrator Agreed. I love his app and have it on every machine here. Even have it configured as my default editor in Filezilla and for use with several other apps.
December 23, 201014 yr I use it for very mild Python programming (I'm a noob) and a little XHTML and CSS - really nice free app. The bin.7z version is simple to install and update.
December 24, 201014 yr When I used Windows, I used to use Notepad++. For stuff like HTML, PHP, etc. Sometime if I am ever on Windows, then I use Notepad++. It is nice that it has line numbers and syntax highlighting. Maybe its a bit feature-creep some would say. On Linux these days, I just use gedit.
