James_A Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 It's difficult to keep up with the Notepad++ updates. There were three for last month (November) alone -- 5.8.3, 5.8.4 & 5.8.5. Though, that doesn't stop Don Ho's Notepad++ from being one of the best editors available. . Quote
Administrator Tarun Posted December 22, 2010 Administrator Posted December 22, 2010 Agreed. I love his app and have it on every machine here. Even have it configured as my default editor in Filezilla and for use with several other apps. Quote
0_0 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I use it for very mild Python programming (I'm a noob) and a little XHTML and CSS - really nice free app. The bin.7z version is simple to install and update. Quote
Eldmannen Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 When I used Windows, I used to use Notepad++. For stuff like HTML, PHP, etc. Sometime if I am ever on Windows, then I use Notepad++. It is nice that it has line numbers and syntax highlighting. Maybe its a bit feature-creep some would say. On Linux these days, I just use gedit. Quote
