FastEddie57
Can I create an XP start up disk from my XP Software CD on my second PC that has Windows 7? If so, how is that done. My Grandson's PC has that blue screen and I want to run a diagnostics test but I need an XP startup disk. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Eddie
Administrator Tarun Posted September 1, 2012 Administrator Share Posted September 1, 2012 Been a while since I've worked with XP so I'm not too sure what all you can do. I know there were several quirks where things like sfc /scannow would want the cd and if you were on XP SP3 and the cd was XP SP2 it wouldn't work well. I'd recommend writing down the blue screen information if you can. Useful things would be like IRQ_LESS_THAN_OR_NOT_EQUAL, the offending file and the 0x0000 code.
