Posted January 6, 200619 yr So, now they're charging shipping for the XP SP2 disk……bummer. It was free. BTW, for the really severe tech heads, the disk includes a butt-load of support tools for XP Pro that are not in the downloadable version of SP2.
January 6, 200619 yr Administrator I checked on this and you're right. That's really strange. A while back I ordered mine and it was completely free. This sure makes it harder for dial-up users. :\

This sure makes it harder for dial-up users. :\ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, buddy.......my brother downloaded it on dial-up and it was almost 90Mb, took him all day. I ordered the disk and got it in about 3 days. It sorta through me when I saw the disk had 475Mb of data on it. I was wondering what was left out of the download, then I explored it and found all the support tools.
