May 12, 200619 yr thanks for the link... when they said: Java Java users should update to Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0_06. Turning off the Java Console using the Java Control Panel may also reduce memory usage. do they mean disable JRE plugin completely?
May 13, 200619 yr Author No, they mean disable the Java Console, an extra feature you don't need. Go to Control Panel > Java > Advanced > Java Console, tick Do Not Start Console, click ok.
May 14, 200618 yr Author You're welcome - did that a long time ago myself. Another thing: to speed up Adobe, instead of the manual procedure described, it's much faster and easier to use Adobe Reader Speed-Up.
