Can you install the same cd of xp on two computers? or will the cd key not work?

Windows can only be installed on one computer. That is, if your current license is on your main pc, and you want to install to your secondary pc with the same license; you cannot legally do that. You would have to buy a new product key to have a valid license.

i once borrowed my friend WinXP Home when my OEM version cannot be installed on my new system (my old system mainboard dies out)... but i think he already activated his copy, i have to phone microsoft to get a key... kinda funny... thats history ever since my school provides my with a copy of WinXP Pro... for FREE :D
