Ultimate Predator
It really gets on my nerves when you middle-click on a hyperlink and then it pops open in a new tab, can that be disabled altogether? Also, when I download something almost instantly, the Downloads Tab fails to display, it just says All Downloads Have Finished ect... If a Download takes over a second it just pops up as a Tab as I made it in Tab Mix Plus? How can this be fixed?
Administrator Tarun Posted October 17, 2006 Administrator Share Posted October 17, 2006 about:config middlemouse.openNewWindow - set to False Will look into your download issue. Have you tried DownThemAll? :P
Ultimate Predator
I tried the about:config tweak as well as DownThemAll, and neither fixed my problems!
greenknight
I think the correct pref in about:config is browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick. Personally, I use middle-click to open links in a new tab all the time, I would hate to have that disabled. If you don't like it, though, suit yourself. As for the other problem, with downloads that happen almost instantly; I wish I had that one! :P
Ultimate Predator
I did what you sauid, and now, it opens up links with a middle click in a new window, not in a new tab. Any help? I find it annoying for example when looking it a large page, and I middle click to do a controlled scroll, and I didn't relaise it was a link, and then, new tab, which is very annoying. greenknight
Don't middle-click on links? Seriously, I just roll the scroll wheel to scroll, to avoid that problem.
Ultimate Predator
Yeh, lol, oh well, thanks, I think the problem with the Download thing is that because its et to 0 seconds, anything quicker than that (like a small pdf doc) goes instantly....
