many responses to a thread over at msfn.org claim that PerfectDisk does a much better job than Diskeeper. i have never used any of those programs myself, but for my money, i would go for PerfectDisk.

I've got PerfectDisk myself. I have Diskeeper Pro Premium on my server and recently defragged with it. I just now checked how the drives look with PerfectDisk and Diskeeper made a mess. The prefetch for boot and application loading items are more towards the middle of the drive, instead of the front which lets you boot faster. I'm junking Diskeeper now. :happybday:
