Ultimate Predator Posted April 5, 2008 Share Posted April 5, 2008 How can I a) make it so that when I download somehting in Firefox (and in other apps which use this part of Vista), the window is 'open', as in the Browse folders option is always enabled? b) How can I make it that applications/windows are fully maximized automatically when opened? Eldmannen Posted April 10, 2008 Share Posted April 10, 2008 A) In Firefox, goto Tools -> Preferences... -> Main, and select "Always ask me where to save files". B) Applications are usually started in the state they were, when they closed. So if you close them when they're maximized, they should start maximized. greenknight Posted April 11, 2008 Share Posted April 11, 2008 Assuming it's the same as XP, open the properties of the shortcut you use to launch a program, in the Shortcut tab, Run field, change "Normal Window" to "Maximized". It will always launch maximized from that shortcut. I should have answered sooner, but I thought "It's a Vista question, all I know about Vista is it sucks."
