Posted July 7, 200816 yr Administrator When the Anti-Malware Toolkit receives an award, I'll be sure to post it into the wiki under Awards. You can view the Anti-Malware Toolkit Awards in our wiki here. To start things off, the Anti-Malware Toolkit has received the Softpedia 100% clean award!
July 8, 200816 yr Most of those awards doesn't really mean anything. Pretty much anything you upload to such download sites gives you an award. The purpose is for the developer to go around posting and advertising those awards in order for the site to get more visitors.
July 8, 200816 yr At least the 100% Clean Award means something. I believe that it is given to every single file that is uploaded and then accepted to be hosted. Not much of an award imho. Also, I am not sure they can be sure its 100% clean, so I don't think they should go around saying that. Here you can read about the software award scam; * http://successfulsoftware.net/2007/08/16/t...re-awards-scam/
