Capman Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 No kidding! Everything was seriously out of date as well. His 'C' drive had about 500MB free whereas his 40 GB 'D' drive was almost empty, so I transferred his My Documents to the 'D' drive and then got to work sorting it all out. Hopefully when I give it back to him tomorrow he will be over the moon. Quote
Administrator Tarun Posted September 8, 2008 Administrator Posted September 8, 2008 Norton... oh lawdy. Quicktime too... My god look at all that bloatware... Quote
Eldmannen Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Wow, the horror! I've never seen a systray with that much junk. I probably couldn't get it that bad, even if I wanted todo so intentionally. Quote
Capman Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 Norton went, but I left QT on it, I did make sure everything had the latest versions though, and was allowed to delete a lot of other stuff that seemed unnecessary, he was over the moon with it. I was very surprised that it was not infected in anyway. Quote
Administrator Tarun Posted September 12, 2008 Administrator Posted September 12, 2008 The K-Lite Codec Pack can help take the place of QT and other things. Quote
Ultimate Predator Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Indeedy. K Lite Mega or VLC with QT Lite and Real Alternative. Quote
