Skynard
It appears my total lack of IT knowledge is hampering any effort to correct my issues with my Home version of XP, so my next foolish question is, I'm able to get a Legal version of XP Pro and I would like to know if it's possible to install it over my Home version without having to format my hard drive first, as there many files I can't afford to lose. Many thanks for your time Skynard
Eldmannen
If there are many files you cant afford to loose, then you should have them backed up by now. You can keep on using XP Home, because there are not that much difference with XP Home and XP Pro.
Administrator Tarun Posted January 20, 2009 Administrator Share Posted January 20, 2009 I would back up the data and format, then install XP Pro. I do not believe installing Pro over Home would go over well.
