Monkey Proof
hey tarun, i know you posted something about 2search in the past but i'm unable to find it. when i run arovax it detects 2search but it never gets rid of it completly. can you give me that link that you posted awhile back so i can remove it. by the way, none of my other scans will detect it. could i be getting a false positive on this? Administrator Tarun Posted December 6, 2005 Administrator Share Posted December 6, 2005 If it's the Arovax AntiSpyware, then yeah it's probably a false positive. They still have a ton of those. If ewido, MSAS, Ad-Aware and Spybot find nothing, I wouldn't be concerned.
Monkey Proof
thanks, its not detected in anything else so i'm not worried then
Administrator Tarun Posted December 7, 2005 Administrator Share Posted December 7, 2005 Arovax Anti-Spyware on BetaNews, this is the next release, after 1.0.353 Beta. I ran Arovax here at college, it found 2search here too. It's gotta be a false positive.
Monkey Proof
so i guess my next question is, should i keep arovax or not?
Administrator Tarun Posted December 7, 2005 Administrator Share Posted December 7, 2005 I wouldn't use it yet. So I would say trash it. False positives are never good.
1984
what is the difference between alpha and beta.
Administrator Tarun Posted December 7, 2005 Administrator Share Posted December 7, 2005 Alpha: Early testing stage of a software or hardware product; "alpha version". Beta: Preliminary or testing stage of a software or hardware product; "a beta version"; "beta software". Alpha is pretty much freshly built, no real features added. Beta adds features, but may have bugs still. RC has more features and hopefully all of the bugs worked out. RTM (Release to manufacturer) has all/a majority of the bugs gone and all features added. Someone can correct me if this is inaccurate.
Ultimate Predator
I do agree, having an alpha program for protection isn't recommended, but their shield that they have is perfect; www.arovaxshield.com
Administrator Tarun Posted December 7, 2005 Administrator Share Posted December 7, 2005 I wouldn't call it perfect, considering it draws on the same database.
Inu-ya
Well, I'm testing it out still. still has that 2Search lol. That will be fixed in the final :eyeroll: . Arovax Shield & Anti-Spyware is to be Improved in the upcoming of next year "Hopefully" Let's all hope for the best. :P
Ultimate Predator
I wouldn't call it perfect, considering it draws on the same database. Maybe, but it blocks so many internet tracking cookies that MSAS never did, it really is brilliant in my opinion.
