Around this time two years ago, Google unveiled Suggest, a feature which predicted what searchers were looking for as it was being typed in the Google search field. September 10, 201014 yr They all copy each other, just like the browsers do. Personally, I don't care who's ripping off whom; as long as the user benefits with improved functionality, it's all good.

September 11, 201014 yr I don't like this function. To me, it doesn't seem very good, and I think it is just annoying.
September 11, 201014 yr I don't like it either, so I turned it off in Search settings (http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en). I found it really annoying. You used to be able to turn off the predictions for your search, but now you can't do that any more, just turn off Google Instant. .
