Vista Installation

I thought it was kinda funny.

installing an operating system is not hard to do.. the guy is just a moron....

He never said he did not know how to install it, nor did he said it was difficult or hard to install it. He said couldn't install it because it wasn't compatible.

while i understand your concept, the fact of him just saying "it's incompatible and it's brand new" leaves a bunch of open questions as he never mentioned anything about it. Hell, he could be trying to install it on his DVD Player or maybe a Mac, for all we know.

incompatible with a "brand new" computer is a little far fetched as i'm sure Microsoft has taken measures to make sure it'd run on pretty much any comp under 5 years..

don't believe me?

1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

512 MB of system memory

20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space

Support for DirectX 9 graphics and 32 MB of graphics memory

DVD-ROM drive

Audio Output

Internet access (fees may apply)

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/...quirements.mspx

My main computer thats 4 years old now can run Vista according to those specs..

AMD Athlon 2400+ (1.9ghz) 32-bit

1 Gig memory

2x 40gig hard drive

CD-R/CD+R/DVD-R

Mainboard Audio..

Nvidia Geforce4 MX440 64mb.

BSOD's happen for a reason, if this guy is experiencing BSOD's while trying to install an operating system, he should definently go back to K-Mart and return that P.O.S. comp.
