Outlook

Featured Replies

I hope that this doesn't make me sound stupid, but does it make sense that, no matter what I'm doing, my computer practically slows down to a halt when Outlook is sending/receiving?

You know what, Tarun...that's very possible. I'll take a look at it and see, that didn't occur to me, and I haven't been using Outlook for very long.

Sometimes if the scan is on, and Outlook is working; system resource usage will make a large jump up, especially CPU cycles and memory usage.

That is a flaw in Outlook that alot of people don't like about it.

If you turn off the scan going in and out, it will speed up dramatically.

I disabled the "Spam Killer" and that seems to have made a difference....thanks. As for Thunderbird, I tried switching over to it fairly recently and for some reason all of my emails and addresses weren't imported. I just haven't looked at it again since then, but I will try again and seek your collective knowledge for help when I can better explain what's going on. :D

Thank you, guys. :D

the problem with thunderbird is that it doesnt have a nice calendar build in like outlook... (ok i know there is a calendar extension for thunderbird)...
